What once troubled you now builds you—the foundation is not in spite of the ache, but because of it.
Let not one force or impose—but welcome, and accept, love and care.
For you are worthy of such things. And so are others.
Let not one judge, but spread.
Be the water that rubs off the hardest rock—
and smooth it with attention and care.
Accept the hard rock as it comes.
Navigate within and around the cracks and the edges,
and make it whole—by removing that which isn’t.
Be the water to others—
and to yourself.
Become the new—
and yet the old, too.
The new is not to erase the old,
but to complete it.
For a sense of completion must have something to make whole.
A flower may carry a new palette,
yet it still grows from the same stem.
Let one embrace that which was,
and collect that which is now.
Let not one replace the one,
but let one be the place for the one.
For the young self is the old oneself,
and the old self is the young oneself.
The aching heart and the troubled mind—
they are no longer you.
They are the foundation upon which you are now raised.
The traveled road is only as strong
as the rocks embedded in it.
Alone, they are obstacles—
distractions.
And yet, to be thanked and appreciated.
For without them, the road becomes nothing but holes.
Cast your worries upon Him.
Cleanse the heart and the mind from the heavy burden.
For it belongs to the one of before—
and not to the you of now.
